Kees Schroeter (born 12 August 1943) is a Dutch welder who worked at Schroeter Aanhangwagenfabriek in Vriendendam. He was the first regular employee of his cousin Jakob Schroeter, who established the company in 1965.

Career

Schroeter learned welding through farm and machinery work. In 1962, his cousin Jakob began manufacturing agricultural trailers and eventually rented a small industrial workshop in Vriendendam. Kees became his first regular employee and helped manufacture the trailers.

Jakob established Schroeter Aanhangwagenfabriek in 1965 and opened a purpose-built factory in 1970. Kees continued working alongside him on the factory floor during the 1970s, when the company began producing heavier tandem-axle agricultural trailers.
