Hector Francisco Allende (born 13 February 1978), also known as Hengedrik, is an Argentine-born former officer of the Technische Tanoanische Nothilfe (TTano). He served in its Allgemeine Dienst division and held the rank of Landesführer. Following the collapse of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen in November 2024, Allende was detained in Georgetown and released without charges in 2025.
Early life
[edit | edit source]Allende was born on 13 February 1978 in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina. His parents separated in 1992, and he moved with his mother to Georgetown on Tanoa when he was 14. His father remained in Comodoro Rivadavia but continued paying part of his school expenses. He wrote to Allende and visited him in Georgetown in 1994.
Allende completed secondary school in Georgetown while working part-time as a mechanic's assistant. In 1996, he applied to TTano to receive advanced technical instruction that wasn't available through the workshop where he worked.
Career
[edit | edit source]Allende enlisted in TTano on 20 May 1996 and began technical training through the organization. He served in the Allgemeine Dienst division and held the rank of Hauptbereitschaftsführer before becoming a Landesführer.
Detention and release
[edit | edit source]The Tanoa Einsatzgruppen surrendered in Georgetown on 30 November 2024.[1] Allende was detained following the surrender because of his senior position in TTano. Investigators examined his service record and questioned him about work performed under his authority. He was released without charges in 2025.
