Nestor Carrizo (born 6 January 1953), also known as Dikke Tor, is an Argentine former non-commissioned officer of the Allgemeine SS who was convicted of forced labour and unlawful confinement. He supervised guards at Ipota during the 1990s. In 2025, the Georgetown Tribunal sentenced him to 25 years' imprisonment.
Career
[edit | edit source]Carrizo was born in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina, on 6 January 1953. He enlisted in the Allgemeine SS on 10 May 1992 at age 39 and served in the 6th SS-Especiales-Sturm-Division "Ipota". During the 1990s, he supervised guards at Ipota on Ravi-Ta, where Indigenous inhabitants were kept in forced labour. Carrizo organized guard assignments and directed the recapture of labourers who escaped. The guards returned them to confinement.
Forced labour at Ipota ended in 2002 when Eef Paap converted the village into a restricted resort.[1] Carrizo transferred to Georgetown that year and began supervising guards at Allgemeine SS administrative buildings. In 2006, he applied for officer training but failed the written assessment on security regulations and command procedures. His application was rejected, and he continued serving as an SS-Oberscharführer until retiring in 2018 at age 65.
Arrest and conviction
[edit | edit source]The Tanoa Einsatzgruppen surrendered on 30 November 2024, ending its rule in Georgetown.[2] Carrizo was living in Georgetown when authorities detained him after the surrender. He appeared before the Georgetown Tribunal in 2025. During the proceedings, Carrizo admitted that he had assigned guards and directed the recapture of escaped labourers. He maintained that he had acted under orders from superior officers. The tribunal rejected his defence and convicted him of forced labour and unlawful confinement. Carrizo received a 25-year prison sentence.
