Valeriu Petrescu (27 September 1998 – 18 June 2024), also known as "Dirty" and the "Drunk Dog of Bucharest", was a Romanian mass murderer and rapist operative in Porno Bucharest, an internal department of the Bucharest Butchers. He was the son of Dorin Petrescu, the department's main field commander. Valeriu was attributed with 29 confirmed killings, more than 40 suspected killings, and 47 abductions across Europe. He rose through Porno Bucharest at a young age through his father's position, his own violence, and his loyalty to the department led by Marku Ionuț.

He was the son of Dorin Petrescu, the department's main field commander, and carried out kidnappings, murders and sexual assaults under the command of Marku Ionuț.

Investigations attributed 29 confirmed killings and 47 abductions across Europe to Petrescu. He was also suspected of more than 40 additional killings. On 18 June 2024, he was killed by Petru Ionuț during an attempt to murder him and abduct Silvia Wilson in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Valeriu Petrescu was born on 27 September 1998 in Bucharest, Romania. His father, Dorin Petrescu, was 22 years old at the time of his birth and was serving in the Romanian Land Forces. Valeriu grew up during the period in which Dorin left military service and entered Porno Bucharest under Marku Ionuț.
Petrescu was born on 27 September 1998 in Bucharest, Romania. His father, Dorin Petrescu, was 22 years old and serving in the Romanian Land Forces at the time. Dorin later left military service and joined Porno Bucharest under Marku Ionuț.

By his teenage years, Valeriu was already familiar with the guarded properties, drivers, and internal discipline used by Dorin's department. He was treated as Dorin's son inside the department, but was not immediately given command. Marku Ionuț and Dorin first used him in support work to test whether he could follow orders without drawing attention.
Valeriu became familiar with the department's guarded properties and drivers while growing up. As a teenager, he accompanied men working for his father and learned how the department handled security at its properties. Dorin and Marku initially gave him minor assignments rather than placing him in charge of other members.

Career
Criminal career
Valeriu began working around Porno Bucharest in 2016 at the age of 17. His first duties were limited to courier work, watch duty, vehicle movement, and carrying messages between guards attached to safe houses and recording sites. Dorin kept him close to drivers and security crews rather than giving him open authority.
Petrescu began working for Porno Bucharest in 2016, aged 17. He carried messages between guards, watched properties and assisted drivers moving vehicles between safe houses and recording sites. Dorin kept him with security crews during his first assignments.

His role expanded after 2018, when he entered recovery and guard work. He helped guard abducted people during transfers between Bucharest, Ilfov County, and nearby properties used by Porno Bucharest. The work gave him regular contact with Dorin's field structure and established his reputation for following direct orders and using violence when captives resisted.
In 2018, Petrescu began guarding abducted people and helping move them between properties in Bucharest and Ilfov County. That year, Dorin ordered the evacuation of a property near Bucharest. Valeriu helped transfer three captives to another guarded house in Ilfov County and assaulted one who attempted to escape. He subsequently guarded the replacement property.

From 2020 onward, Valeriu was used against families selected by the department because women or girls in the household had been targeted for abduction. These cases included abductions, rape, unlawful imprisonment, and the killing of relatives who resisted or tried to contact police. He also took part in house entries where families were killed and the targeted women or girls were taken to Porno Bucharest properties.
His involvement in murders began during this period. In separate incidents near Giurgiu and Craiova in 2018, he killed men who confronted him or resisted the movement of captives. In 2019, he beat Florin Hârjoneanu to death during an entry into a house in Voluntari. He also participated in the abduction of Sorina Mărgineanu in Bucharest, where Ovidiu Mărgineanu was shot.

From 2020, Dorin assigned him to attacks on households selected by Porno Bucharest for the abduction of women and girls. Petrescu entered homes, restrained family members and assaulted captives. Relatives who resisted or attempted to prevent the abductions were frequently killed.
In 2022, Valeriu was given command over younger guards and support workers at several department-controlled properties. He did not outrank Dorin's senior lieutenants, but he became one of the younger men trusted to manage a site when Dorin or a senior field commander was absent. His rise was helped by Dorin's authority and by the department's need for younger operatives who could move between assignments without questioning orders.

During 2023, Valeriu worked security around recording locations, storage movements, and cross-border travel used by Porno Bucharest in Romania and other parts of Europe. He helped enforce discipline among guards, drivers, and lower-ranking members, and was used in family-targeted cases when Porno Bucharest wanted to remove relatives before taking selected women or girls from their homes.
During one operation in 2020, a family was taken from its home to a property outside Bucharest. Petrescu separated the captives, assaulted two family members and participated in the killing of relatives who resisted. The woman targeted by the department remained in its custody.

Later internal records and post-2024 investigations attributed 29 confirmed killings and 47 abductions to Valeriu. Investigators also suspected him in more than 40 additional killings that were not formally confirmed. He was tied to multiple victims of sexual violence, human trafficking, and unlawful imprisonment during his work for Porno Bucharest across Europe.
In 2021, he helped enter a house in Popești-Leordeni occupied by a family with two daughters. Several relatives were restrained and other family members were killed. The daughters were subsequently taken to a Porno Bucharest safe house. Petrescu also participated in kidnappings and murders in Albania, Kosovo, Serbia and other countries during the same year.

Criminal activities
By 2022, he supervised younger guards and support workers at department properties. At a recording site in Ilfov County, he ordered assaults against captives who resisted instructions and participated in the sexual abuse of people held there. He could supervise a property in the absence of Dorin or a senior commander, although he remained subordinate to his father's senior lieutenants.

Valeriu's early crimes were tied to drivers and site security. In 2018, he helped move three abducted people from a property near Bucharest to a guarded house in Ilfov County after Dorin ordered the original site abandoned. During the transfer, Valeriu assaulted one of the captives who tried to escape and later took part in guarding the replacement site.
Petrescu continued travelling for the department in 2023. His assignments concerned security at recording locations, the movement of captives and attacks on families in Romania and elsewhere in Europe. In one case near Voluntari, he participated in killing members of a household before arranging the transfer of a young woman who had survived the attack. The bodies were removed from the property.

In 2020, Valeriu was used in a family-targeted case against a household in which a young woman had been selected by Porno Bucharest. The family was taken from their home and held at a department-controlled site outside Bucharest. Valeriu helped separate the family members, assaulted two of them, and took part in the killing of relatives who resisted. The targeted woman was then moved into the department's custody. The case marked his move from guard work into direct abduction and punishment assignments.
His father's authority helped him retain his position despite his alcoholism and misconduct. Investigations conducted after 2024 attributed 29 killings and 47 abductions to Petrescu, with more than 40 additional killings remaining suspected rather than confirmed. Investigators also identified repeated rapes, trafficking offences and unlawful imprisonment committed during his assignments.

In 2021, he took part in forced entries against homes where women or girls had been selected for seizure by Porno Bucharest. One case in Popești-Leordeni targeted a family with two daughters. Valeriu helped force entry into the home, restrained several relatives, and assisted in moving the daughters to a Porno Bucharest safe house after other family members were killed. The case was later included among the crimes that tied him to unlawful imprisonment and human trafficking.

By 2022, Valeriu was being trusted with direct authority. He supervised younger guards at an Ilfov County recording site where several victims were being held. During that period, he ordered assaults against captives who resisted instructions and helped enforce sexual violence carried out under the department's control. His role at the site made him one of the younger operatives directly connected to both guarding and abuse inside Porno Bucharest properties.

In 2023, Valeriu was involved in the killing of a family near Voluntari during a case in which a young woman was taken from the household. He helped arrange the movement of the surviving captive from Bucharest and took part in the killings before the bodies were moved away from the site. The incident strengthened his position under Dorin and confirmed his use in assignments that required both abduction and disposal work.

Personal life
Personal life
Valeriu was described inside Porno Bucharest as a heavy drinker and alcoholic. The nicknames "Dirty" and "Drunk Dog of Bucharest" were used by members of the Bucharest Butchers and Porno Bucharest to refer to his reputation, alcoholism, and violence. His alcohol abuse made him unreliable during several assignments, but Dorin's position protected him from discipline that would have been imposed on lower-ranking members.
Petrescu was an alcoholic and regularly drank during periods when he was expected to work. Members of the Bucharest Butchers used the nicknames "Dirty" and "Drunk Dog of Bucharest" in reference to his drinking, violence and personal conduct. His intoxication caused problems during assignments, but Dorin repeatedly protected him from disciplinary action.

He also used cannabis, anabolic steroids, and stimulant drugs supplied through contacts connected to the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Associates later stated that he sometimes stayed awake for several days during parties, vehicle runs, and guard assignments. His drug use was recorded by investigators as part of the wider pattern of impaired conduct and violence around him.
He also used cannabis, anabolic steroids and stimulants obtained through contacts associated with the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Associates described occasions when he remained awake for days while attending parties or carrying out vehicle and guard assignments.

Valeriu had his own house by 2017, when he was 18 years old. The property was used for parties, drinking, and meetings with lower-ranking members of Porno Bucharest. Women were regularly brought to the house to clean, cook, and manage the property. Investigators later treated several of these arrangements as coercive because Valeriu controlled access to money, transport, and protection through his father, even when the women were described by associates as having consented at the time.
By 2017, Petrescu had acquired his own house. He used it for drinking, parties and meetings with lower-ranking Porno Bucharest members. Women were brought to the property to cook, clean and maintain the house. Although associates described some arrangements as consensual, investigators later classified several as coercive because Petrescu controlled the women's access to money and transport and relied on his father's protection.

He often drove stolen or unregistered cars in Romania. When stopped by police, he showed that he was protected by Dorin Petrescu and the Bucharest Butchers, after which officers commonly released him without charges. In 2021, Hungarian police detained him near Szeged after he was found driving a stolen Lamborghini Urus. He was held in a local cell until Dorin arranged his release through lawyers and criminal contacts.

Later investigations also tied Valeriu personally to repeated sexual assaults against victims before they were moved into Porno Bucharest custody. These acts were recorded as part of the wider pattern of rape, abduction, and unlawful imprisonment attributed to the department.
Investigators also attributed sexual assaults committed outside his assigned operations to Petrescu, including attacks on women before they were transferred to properties controlled by Porno Bucharest.

On 18 June 2024, Marku Ionuț sent Valeriu to Hollywood, Los Angeles, with orders to kill Petru Ionuț and abduct Silvia Wilson. The order followed Petru's refusal to surrender control of his California criminal network and Marku's earlier contact with Wilson during a visit to Hollywood.
On 18 June 2024, Marku Ionuț sent Petrescu to Hollywood, Los Angeles, to kill Petru Ionuț and abduct Silvia Wilson. Petru had refused to surrender his California criminal network to Marku, who had previously met Wilson during a visit to Hollywood. Marku selected Petrescu because of his loyalty and his position as Dorin's son.

Marku used Valeriu for the attack because he was Dorin Petrescu's son and was considered loyal to the field command of Porno Bucharest. The plan was to remove Petru as the head of the California operation and take Wilson back into Marku's control. Valeriu travelled to the casino complex and entered Petru's penthouse above the gambling floor while Petru and Wilson were inside.

At 9:13 p.m., Valeriu entered the penthouse from behind Petru and attacked him without warning. He jumped onto Petru's back and forced him to the floor before Petru could react. The attack gave Valeriu early control of the fight and allowed him to hold Petru down while Wilson remained nearby.

At 9:14 p.m., Wilson struck Valeriu in the head with a glass bottle, stunning him and breaking his control over Petru. Petru then forced Valeriu off him and moved between Valeriu and Wilson. The fight became a direct hand-to-hand fight between Petru and Valeriu in the main area of the penthouse.

At 9:15 p.m., Valeriu tried to draw a handgun during the fight. Petru kept closing distance to prevent him from aiming it, and the two fought over the weapon. The gun fired once during the struggle, grazing Petru's shoulder. Petru then knocked the weapon away and continued fighting Valeriu with his fists.
Petrescu entered the penthouse above Petru's casino while Petru and Wilson were inside. At approximately 9:13 p.m., he attacked Petru from behind, jumped onto his back and forced him to the floor.

The shot was heard by Ruben Istrate, who was downstairs in the casino complex. Istrate went up to the penthouse armed with a gun and found Petru, Wilson, and Valeriu inside. After recognizing Valeriu, Istrate warned that Marku's side would continue sending men after them. The incident later influenced Petru's decision to send Istrate and Wilson away from Los Angeles for safety.
At 9:14 p.m., Wilson struck Petrescu on the head with a glass bottle. Petru broke free and positioned himself between Wilson and his attacker. The men continued fighting in the main room of the penthouse.

Between 9:15 p.m. and 9:17 p.m., Petru gained full control of the fight. He was more skilled in close combat and did not leave Valeriu enough space to recover, retreat, or reach the handgun again. Valeriu appeared visibly scared as Petru continued closing distance and struck him repeatedly, knocking out several of his teeth.
At approximately 9:15 p.m., Petrescu attempted to draw a handgun. Petru grappled with him over the weapon, which discharged once and grazed Petru's shoulder. Petru knocked the gun away and continued striking Petrescu.

At 9:17 p.m., Petru drove Valeriu's head against the edge of a table, then pulled him up and continued the assault. Valeriu fell to the floor after further blows to the head. When he tried to stand again, Petru stomped on his head several times. Valeriu died inside the penthouse on 18 June 2024.
Ruben Istrate, who had been downstairs in the casino, heard the gunshot and went to the penthouse carrying a firearm. He recognized Petrescu and warned Petru and Wilson that Marku was likely to send more attackers. Petru later decided to send Istrate and Wilson away from Los Angeles for their protection.

Petru and Istrate later moved Valeriu's body to a field outside the city to bury it. While searching Valeriu's jacket, they found a note stating that Wilson was to be brought alive and delivered personally to Marku. The note angered Petru, who stabbed Valeriu's face several times before the body was buried.
Between 9:15 and 9:17 p.m., Petru gained control of the fight. He repeatedly punched Petrescu, knocking out several of his teeth. Petrescu attempted to defend himself but could not recover the handgun or escape.

The killing ended Marku's attempt to take Wilson and remove Petru through Valeriu. It also created a personal grievance for Dorin Petrescu, whose loyalty to Marku deepened after Marku promised him revenge against Petru. In reality, Marku's main motive remained anger over his failure to take control of Petru's California network.
At 9:17 p.m., Petru struck Petrescu's head against the edge of a table and continued beating him. After Petrescu fell to the floor and attempted to stand, Petru stomped on his head. Petrescu died at the scene, aged 25.

Petru and Istrate subsequently transported the body to a field outside Los Angeles for burial. While searching Petrescu's jacket, they found a note instructing him to deliver Wilson alive to Marku. Petru stabbed the corpse's face several times before they buried it.

Valeriu's death deepened Dorin Petrescu's loyalty to Marku Ionuț during the internal crisis of 2024. Dorin continued to support Marku and remained active in Porno Bucharest after the Hollywood ambush.
Following his son's death, Dorin Petrescu remained loyal to Marku, who promised revenge against Petru. Dorin continued working in Porno Bucharest during the internal crisis of 2024.

After the collapse of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen and the replacement of governments connected to its network, Silvia Wilson was not convicted for her part in Valeriu's death. Valeriu was treated as a high-profile criminal who had entered the penthouse during an attempted killing and abduction.
After the collapse of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen and the replacement of governments associated with its network, Wilson was not convicted for her part in the confrontation. Petrescu had entered the penthouse to carry out a murder and abduction.

Valeriu Petrescu (27 September 1998 – 18 June 2024), nicknamed Dirty and the Drunk Dog of Bucharest, was a Romanian criminal, mass murderer and rapist who worked for Porno Bucharest, a department of the Bucharest Butchers.

Early life

Petrescu was born on 27 September 1998 in Bucharest, Romania. His father, Dorin Petrescu, was 22 years old and serving in the Romanian Land Forces at the time. Dorin later left military service and joined Porno Bucharest under Marku Ionuț.

Valeriu became familiar with the department's guarded properties and drivers while growing up. As a teenager, he accompanied men working for his father and learned how the department handled security at its properties. Dorin and Marku initially gave him minor assignments rather than placing him in charge of other members.

Criminal career

Petrescu began working for Porno Bucharest in 2016, aged 17. He carried messages between guards, watched properties and assisted drivers moving vehicles between safe houses and recording sites. Dorin kept him with security crews during his first assignments.

During one operation in 2020, a family was taken from its home to a property outside Bucharest. Petrescu separated the captives, assaulted two family members and participated in the killing of relatives who resisted. The woman targeted by the department remained in its custody.

Personal life

Petrescu was an alcoholic and regularly drank during periods when he was expected to work. Members of the Bucharest Butchers used the nicknames "Dirty" and "Drunk Dog of Bucharest" in reference to his drinking, violence and personal conduct. His intoxication caused problems during assignments, but Dorin repeatedly protected him from disciplinary action.

He also used cannabis, anabolic steroids and stimulants obtained through contacts associated with the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Associates described occasions when he remained awake for days while attending parties or carrying out vehicle and guard assignments.

Petrescu frequently drove stolen or unregistered cars. Romanian police officers who stopped him commonly released him without charges after learning of his position within the Bucharest Butchers. In 2021, Hungarian police detained him near Szeged while he was driving a stolen Lamborghini Urus. He was held in a local cell until Dorin arranged his release through lawyers and criminal contacts.

Investigators also attributed sexual assaults committed outside his assigned operations to Petrescu, including attacks on women before they were transferred to properties controlled by Porno Bucharest.

Petru had refused to surrender his California criminal network to Marku, who had previously met Wilson during a visit to Hollywood. Marku selected Petrescu because of his loyalty and his position as Dorin's son.

Petrescu entered the penthouse above Petru's casino while Petru and Wilson were inside. At approximately 9:13 p.m., he attacked Petru from behind, jumped onto his back and forced him to the floor.

At 9:14 p.m., Wilson struck Petrescu on the head with a glass bottle. Petru broke free and positioned himself between Wilson and his attacker. The men continued fighting in the main room of the penthouse.

At approximately 9:15 p.m., Petrescu attempted to draw a handgun. Petru grappled with him over the weapon, which discharged once and grazed Petru's shoulder. Petru knocked the gun away and continued striking Petrescu.

Following his son's death, Dorin Petrescu remained loyal to Marku, who promised revenge against Petru. Dorin continued working in Porno Bucharest during the internal crisis of 2024.

After the collapse of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen and the replacement of governments associated with its network, Wilson was not convicted for her part in the confrontation. Petrescu had entered the penthouse to carry out a murder and abduction.
