== Political career == Ionuț joined the [[Partidul Dezvoltării Regionale]], a regionalist local-development party active in Bucharest and [[Ilfov County]]. The party campaigned on infrastructure and industrial redevelopment, with road access included in its development program. It also promoted municipal stability and private investment. Ionuț's public political work remained focused on local administration. He represented its Ilfov development wing, where he promoted industrial zoning and public-private contracts. His program also called for business-licensing reform and greater county control over infrastructure planning. Through the party, Ionuț built relationships with contractors and developers. Those contacts extended to logistics companies and private security firms. He also built relationships with county officials. Party-linked donors later appeared in procurement or property records connected to Bucharest Butchers-linked companies. Ionuț worked mainly through committees and closed meetings. Signed approvals and delayed inspections became recurring parts of his political work. His position also depended on local networks and businesses that required municipal approval. During the early 1990s, he worked as a campaign organizer and liaison for local candidates in Bucharest and Ilfov County. He mobilized business owners and neighborhood intermediaries. The campaigns also drew on private security contacts and people whose businesses depended on permits. In 1996, he became a member of the Ilfov County Council. His public platform emphasized redevelopment and industrial expansion, while public order and business regulation were presented as parts of county planning. Infrastructure planning also became a regular part of his council work. By the late 1990s and early 2000s, companies connected to Ionuț's associates were receiving favorable treatment in construction contracts and market concessions. Property transfers and procurement decisions also passed through contacts tied to him. Businesses that opposed his network faced permit difficulties or tax pressure, while some were subjected to sudden inspections or threats from private security groups. {| class="wikitable" ! Office ! Commercial licensing and infrastructure coordination were also part of his county work. After becoming Industrial Development Commissioner in 2010, he dealt with industrial policy and redevelopment sites. Transport links and private development proposals also passed through that office. As county president from 2014, appointments and county planning passed through his administration, together with procurement and regional coordination. He used these offices to protect Bucharest Butchers-linked businesses and Snubable properties through permits and zoning decisions. Inspection delays and public contracts were used in the same way.
