== History == The economic system established by [[Jan Paap]] developed from the occupation of [[Tanoa]] in August 1944. After landing on [[Ravi-Ta]], Paap forced native inhabitants to construct barracks and military facilities. His forces subsequently used enslaved inhabitants for road construction and the extraction of natural resources. Work assignments were issued by military commanders, who also controlled the distribution of food and supplies. In 1945, Paap established the Reichsschatzamt von Tanoa to administer gold reserves and confiscated property. The treasury recorded resources obtained through mining and military seizures. During this period, the government distributed materials through direct orders, without a public currency or independent financial institutions.<ref name="history-1940s"/> As permanent mines and industrial facilities developed during the 1950s, the government introduced a monetary system for internal accounting. The treasury issued the Tanoanische Reichsmark during the early part of the decade. Financial access became subject to administrative controls based on a person's labor classification and residence status.<ref name="history-1950s"/> The Tanoa Einsatzgruppen expanded its economic authority beyond the islands. Following the annexation of [[Argentina]] in 1965, the Reichsschatzamt assumed control of the Argentine banking system and industrial policy. Existing military production facilities were transferred to Tanoan institutions, including the aircraft factory at [[Córdoba]]. Financial administration was extended to the occupied territory through the [[Tanoanische Wirtschaftsverwaltung]], which maintained banking records and regulated currency circulation.<ref name="history-1960s"/> In 1975, the regime annexed [[Fiji]]. Agricultural businesses continued operating under Tanoan supervision, while the government incorporated Fijian ports and airfields into its transport system. The country's existing economic activities were subjected to the requirements of the Tanoan administration.<ref name="fiji"/>
